2023-10-18 Essex County Council Special and Regular Meeting Notice

On Wednesday, October 18, 2023, Essex County Council will hold a Special public meeting where the County of Essex Integrity Commissioner, Aird & Berlis, will provide Council with an overview of the proposed Code of Conduct for Essex County Council.  This meeting will begin at 1:00 PM.

There will also be a Regular meeting of Essex County Council on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 which is scheduled to commence at 6:00 PM.

As permitted pursuant to By-law 2022-31, being a by-law to provide rules governing the order and proceedings of the Council of the Corporation of the County of Essex, adopted on October 19, 2022, the meeting will take place with members of County Council in person at the Essex County Civic Centre.

Seating is limited in Council Chambers at the Essex County Civic Centre, and, as such, members of the public who wish to attend either of these meetings in person are required to register. One registration per person is allowed.

On the meeting day, registered ticket holders will be admitted, with entry being permitted from 12:00 PM for the 1:00 PM session and 5:00 PM for the 6:00 PM meeting.

If the pre-registration results in seating capacity remaining, individuals may register for admittance in person on a first come first served basis on October 18, 2023, again at Noon or 5:00 PM.

There will be no overflow seating. Once the capacity limit is reached, no further people will be admitted to the Civic Centre, and will instead be invited to view the meeting from home.

The 6:00 PM meeting will also be broadcast by YourTV Cogeco cable.
