Adults 50+ Eligible for a COVID-19 Vaccine Booster

As previously announced, adults aged 50 and over (those born in 1971 or earlier) are eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine booster dose in Windsor and Essex County starting today.

Third doses will be available at local participating pharmacies, the Devonshire Mall mass vaccination site (by appointment), through participating healthcare providers, and at community pop-up vaccination clinics. Third dose appointments must be scheduled six months (or 168 days) after a second dose.

Eligible residents are encouraged to contact their healthcare provider or local pharmacist to address any concerns or questions they may have before scheduling an appointment.

Please do not attend your appointment or a vaccination clinic if you are sick or have been asked to self-isolate. If you do not have a health card, you can still get a vaccine by presenting another form of a government issued-photo identification.
