Please join the Elder Abuse Response and Prevention Network and Sun Parlor Home for a Tree Planting Ceremony in Recognition of the Annual World Elder Abuse Awareness Day.

World Elder Abuse Awareness Day is recognized annually on June 15th as an official United Nations International Day acknowledging the significance of elder abuse as a public health and human rights issue.

About the Elder Abuse Resource and Prevention Network

The Elder Abuse Resource and Prevention Network (EARPN) is a voluntary network comprised of 26 community member agencies and organizations serving older adults. The network shares information about elder abuse and neglect and promotes and supports initiatives addressing elder abuse. EARPN maintains links at the federal, provincial and municipal level to support elder abuse prevention and advocates for services that prevent and/or reduce elder abuse.

Sun Parlor Home is a non-profit, 206-bed seniors’ residence that offers long-term care services for residents requiring 24 hour professional nursing and personal care. For over 100 years, the Sun Parlor Home has offered long-term care to the community of Essex County. Our mission is "to serve our community providing supportive, resident-focused care that promotes quality of life."
