Essex County Construction and Road Closures Update – Dec. 8, 2023

The following are part of Phase 1 of the County Road 42 construction project:

• County Road 42 is now open between County Road 43 (Banwell Road) and County Road 19 (Manning Road). Concession 11 at County Road 42 is also open. Restoration and boulevard work continue in the surrounding area. Please use caution and obey all construction signage and flag persons.

The intersection of County Road 9 and County Road 10 will be closed for bridge rehabilitation work, beginning Oct. 23 for approximately nine months. Please follow the posted detour.

County Road 19 (Manning Road) will be reduced to one lane at North Rear Road for emergency drainage work for the Town of Tecumseh from Oct. 16 to Dec. 22.

Please use caution and obey all flag persons, construction signage and posted detour routes in these areas.
