Essex County Council is Seeking an Individual to Fill a Vacancy on the ECAAC

The Council of the Corporation of the County of Essex is currently accepting applications from individuals interested in serving on the ECAAC. The appointment to the ECAAC will be for the remaining term of Council, until 2022.

In accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, a majority of the members of the Accessibility Advisory Committee shall be persons with disabilities. In addition to being a person living with a disability, interested applicants must also be:

  • A resident, owner or tenant of land in Essex County;
  • A Canadian citizen;
  • At least 18 years of age or older;
  • Not prohibited by law from voting in a municipal election;
  • Not an employee of the Corporation of the County of Essex or the Essex County Library Board
