Funding Available for Youth Gun and Gang Violence Prevention
Funding is available and proposals are being sought for initiatives aimed at preventing youth gun and gang violence, as well as informing the community about it.
A request for proposals (RFP: 151-23) is open until Dec. 12 through the Building Safer Communities Fund and in alignment with the Windsor Essex Regional Community Safety and Well-Being Plan.
The goal is to promote community safety by providing funding to enhance efforts for preventing and reducing gun and gang violence.
Please find important details below:
- Applications are due on Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2023, by no later than 11:30 a.m.
- Applications must be submitted electronically through the City of Windsor’s Bidding System.
- Applications must include a report and plan outlining key priorities of program(s) to be supported and an itemized framework and strategy for addressing identified key priorities and measuring success.
Proposal documents are available for download upon payment of a non-refundable fee. A bid submitted by mail, in person, by fax, by e-mail or by other electronic means other than through the online Bidding System will not be accepted.
There will be no public opening of this proposal.
Acceptance or rejection of any proposal will be made in accordance with City of Windsor Purchasing By-Law No. 93-2012 and amendments thereto. This procurement is subject to the Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA), approved July 1, 2017.
