Ms. Sarah Paterson was introduced and welcomed to the Director of Community Services position.
Delegations
Garth Rowswell, MLA – Vermilion Lloydminster Wainwright
MLA Garth Rowswell provided Council with numerous updates on areas affecting municipalities in the region such as 5 Big Initiative Ideas, Universal Broadband Fund (UBF), Ambulance Service, Ultrasound Services, Supportive Living Level 4 (SL4) Housing Support, Provincial Policing and RCMP.
Bylaws
Bylaw 1-2022 – Joint Assessment Review Boards
Council gave second and third readings to Bylaw 1-2022 Joint Assessment Review Boards.
Bylaw 2-2022 – Intermunicipal Subdivision and Development Appeal Board
Council gave second and third readings to Bylaw 2-2022 Intermunicipal Subdivision and Development Appeal Board.
New Business
Tax Recovery Process
Council approved the following conditions for the tax recovery of Plan 635V Block 38 Lot 20 – 4715, 55th Avenue - $162,100
- That the market value of the properties be established by the current years assessment.
- That the Public Auction be established as a sealed bid process starting on June 17, 2022 at 9:00 a.m.
- That the sealed bid process close on June 24, 2022 at 1:00 p.m.
- That the Terms and Conditions be set as cash, bank draft or certified cheque.
Town of Vermilion Regular Council Meeting Time Change
Council accepted the proposed change to Regular Council Meetings start time and approved the amendment to change the time to 6:00 p.m.

Parks, Recreation and Culture
Vermilion Regional Centre (VRC) Rental Rates 2022-2025
Council approved the recommendation of a 4% increase in user fees for the Vermilion Regional Centre for three years, beginning 2022 and ending December 31, 2025.
