Public Hearings
By-Law 2-2023 – Land Use Bylaw Amendment
Council for the Town of Vermilion held a Public Hearing regarding the Land Use Bylaw Amendment, which amends the minimum and maximum lot size requirements for R1 and R2 Residential Districts and to create new CR1 and CR2 Country Residential Districts within the Town of Vermilion. There were six residents present for the Public Hearing, with no objections to the proposed revisions.
By-Law 3-2023 – Road Closure
Council for the Town of Vermilion held a Public Hearing regarding the Road Closure Bylaw, for the purpose of closing a portion of a public highway and selling that portion that has been closed. There were six residents present for the Public Hearing, with no objections to the proposed revisions.

Bylaw 2-2023 – Land Use Bylaw Amendment
Mr. Ben McPhee, Director of Infrastructure and Planning Services presented the final copy of the Land Use Bylaw Amendment, which amends the minimum and maximum lot size requirements for R1 and R2 Residential Districts and to create new CR1 and CR2 Country Residential Districts within the Town of Vermilion.
Council proceeded with second and third reading to the Land Use Bylaw Amendment 2-2023.

Public Commentary
A Town resident was present for the public commentary and made a presentation to Council.
2023 Street Improvement Project
Council approved the contract with Border Paving for the total cost of $475,772.00 excluding GST.
Northern Lights Library System Board (NLLS) 2023
Council defeated the presented Northern Lights Library System 2023 Budget at a cost of $24,133.95.
Tax Recovery Process
Council approved the conditions for the tax recovery of Plan 3001TR, Block 4, Lot 14A, Address 5114 - 45th Ave, Assessment $57,100.
