Delegations

Kirsten DeSchover, Community Futures Lloydminster Region

Community Futures requested $750 in sponsorship and to provide business licenses. Council representatives are asked to sign business licenses on June 6, 2023 from 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm and judging on Lemonade Day June 7, 2023 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm.

Stuart Pauls, Brad Gallamore, and Justin Thompson, Vermilion Public Library Board

Council approved the recommendation of the Vermilion Public Library’s grant application for the accessibility lift through the Community Facility Enhancement Program (CFEP) grant by providing a letter of support.

New Business

Annual Auditor Appointment for 2023 Fiscal Year

Council appointed JDP Wasserman Corporation as the external financial auditors for the 2023 fiscal year.

National Public Works Week 2023

Council proclaimed May 21-27, 2023 as National Public Works Week.

International Economic Development Week 2023

Council proclaimed May 8-12, 2023 as Economic Development Week.

Backyard Chickens – Animal Control Bylaw

Council discussed resident issue brought forward concerning backyard chickens within Town limits. Administration to look at IDP and any relevant bylaws and bring forward information.
