Proclamation - International Economic Development Week

Council proclaimed the week of May 9-15, 2021 as International Economic Development Week. The Council for the Town of Vermilion acknowledged economic developers and their role in helping entrepreneurs achieve their dreams, existing businesses expand, new businesses finding sites and workers, workers getting training, revitalizing neighborhoods, and promoting the community.

2021 Final Budget Approval and Tax Rate Bylaw 2-2021

Council approved the 2021 final budget and gave all three readings to Tax Rate Bylaw 2-2021 establishing the 2021 taxation rates. The budget proposes a 1% increase in municipal tax revenue from 2020.

Family and Community Support Services

Council approved $1,000.00 from the FCSS Special Projects-Other budget to be used to purchase supplies and thank you tokens for the Pitch-in community clean-up in May 2021.
