Oath of Office
Deputy Mayor – November/December 2022
Council appointed Councillor Robert Pulyk as Deputy Mayor for the months of November and December 2022.
Delegations
Mr. Lloyd Linkiewich and Mr. Ken Spangler from Alberta Broadband Networks gave an update regarding the Vermilion Broadband Build with an overview of progress and fiber drop installations.
Mr. Larry Bingham and Mr. Geoff Hancock from the Airport Advisory Committee provided an overview of the current conditions, Medevac traffic, general aircraft movement, local aviation businesses, testimonials and current operations regarding the Vermilion Airport.
Bylaws
Bylaw 6-2022 – Borrowing Bylaw
Council gave first reading to the proposed Bylaw 6-2022 Borrowing Bylaw.
New Business
Vermilion River Regional Alliance Per Capita Request
Council defeated the motion to approve the 2022 Town of Vermilion VRRA membership fee of $2,000.
Call to Action – Highway 28
Council approved the supporting of the “Call for Action – Highway 28 significant investment required immediately by the Alberta Government” letter for the rehabilitation of Highway 28.

Appointment of Parks, Recreation and Culture Board Member
Council approved the appointment of Carolyn Green for a 2-year term.
