Highlights from Council - October 3, 2023

Delegations

Sgt Buckingham, RCMP Detachment presented the Quarterly Community Policing Report with an update on resourcing/activities within the detachment.

Mr. Stuart Pauls, Library Manager, and Mr. Brad Gallamore, Library Board Member presented the 2024 Library Funding Request with updates on financial changes, expenses, resources and activities within the Vermilion Public Library.

New Business

Updating Snow Removal and Ice Control Policy 2024

Council approved the updated Snow Removal and Ice Control Policy for January 2024.

A number of Committee Reports were received for information.

Parks, Recreation and Culture 

Parks, Recreation and Culture Board Grant Recommendation

Council approved the Parks, Recreation and Culture Board grant application for the Vermilion Folk Club in the amount of $1,000 to go towards the purchase of new sound equipment.
