Delegations

Sgt. Dunsmore, RCMP Detachment gave an update on the Quarterly Community Policing Report.

Mr. Stuart Pauls, Library Manager, Mr. Justin Thompson, Library Board Member, and Ms. Anna Giesbrecht, Library Board Treasurer presented the 2023 Library Funding Request with updates on financial changes, expenses, resources and activities within the Vermilion Public Library.

New Business

ATCO Electric Ltd. – Municipal Electric Distribution System Franchise Agreement – 5-Year Extension

Council approved the motion to extend the Electric Distribution System Franchise Agreement (the Agreement) between ATCO Electric Ltd. and Town of Vermilion in accordance with Section 3 of the Agreement, for a 5-year term which will become effective upon the May 7, 2023 expiry date of the initial term of the Agreement.

Articulating Boom Lift

Council approved the purchase of the 2014 JLG 450AJ lift from United Rentals for a cost of $55,000 excluding GST.

Fire Prevention Week October 9-15, 2022 - Proclamation

Council proclaimed October 9-15, 2022 as Fire Prevention Week.
