Join us for the "Celebrate our Abilities" Walk on June 23!
The Essex County Accessibility Advisory Committee (ECAAC) is pleased to share their plans for a free community event on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at the Vollmer Recreation Complex in LaSalle. The “Celebrate our Abilities Awareness Walk” is meant to bring communities together to celebrate all abilities and raise awareness in support of the disability community.
“It is an opportunity for us to come together for a few hours and honour each other’s individuality and uniqueness” said Christine Easterbrook, Chair of the ECAAC. “Our mandate as a committee is to share information surrounding accessibility and act as advocates by creating awareness about the many challenges faced which hopefully improves accessibility of all kinds in our region”.
The Celebrate our Abilities Awareness Walk is being held rain or shine on Saturday June 23, 2018, starting at 10:30 am. Attendees can register for free by visiting https://celebrateourabilities.eventbrite.ca . Participants will also receive a small gift and lunch and refreshments (while supplies last). There will be music and more so we hope to see you there!
