Made-in-Windsor-Essex Website Collecting Praise for Healthcare Workers
A Made-in-Windsor-Essex website designed by the son of a Hotel-Dieu Grace Healthcare social worker is encouraging people from around the world to post messages of support for frontline healthcare workers.
The site, located at thankhealth.org, has been live for less than a week and has already received more than 100 messages from across Ontario and from as far away as Sweden.
“As a software developer I felt there wasn’t much I could do to help during times like these,” said creator Alessio in a Tweet posted by Hotel-Dieu Grace. “So, I chose to use my skills to make a difference. Now, those who are feeling helpless at home can leave a message of support to show their appreciation.”
You can leave a positive message simply by visiting the website and typing it in.
Below are some of the supportive messages received so far from the Windsor-Essex region:
“Thank you to everyone on the frontline! It makes me feel safe to know that healthcare professionals in my community will be providing care to my family and friends.”
“Thank you to all those that directly and indirectly serve our community through Healthcare. Windsor Essex Strong!”
“Thank you for all the sacrifices you are making, being present, performing your duties in truly unfavorable and dangerous situations and environments. You are all heroes!”
“Thank you for all that you are doing. To all the health care workers, the front liners that have become our soldiers in this battle...THANK YOU AND STAY SAFE!!”
“Thank You to the Front Line workers! Risking your lives every day to take care of the sick!!! You are true Heroes!! God Bless you all.”
