Notice of Public Hearing - Bylaw 3-2023 Road Closure

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Notice is hereby given that Council for the Town of Vermilion at the meeting of February 7, 2023 gave first reading to Bylaw #3-2023 to close a portion of a Public Highway to facilitate the sale of that portion of Public Highway.

All that portion of unnamed road which lies south of a line drawn from the northeast corner of Lot 6, Block 21 of the said plan to the northwest corner of Lot 7, Block 22 of the said plan and which lies north of a line drawn from the southwest corner of Lot 1, Block 22 of the said plan to the southeast corner of Lot 21, Block 1A, Plan 122 1205.

Please TAKE NOTICE that on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at 6:15 p.m. at the Vermilion Town Hall, located at 5021 - 49th Avenue, a Public Hearing will be held to hear from anyone who feels they may be affected by the closure of this portion of a Public Highway.

A copy of the relevant documents may be examined at Town Hall at any time during regular business hours.

Anyone wishing to be heard either directly or on someone else’s behalf may make oral representation at the hearing. Written submissions are acceptable and must be delivered prior to the Hearing to the Town Hall address indicated above.

At the Public Hearing, the chairman shall direct to hear representation first from those property owners directly affected, followed by those adjacent property owners who received notice by mail. Following these groups, the chairman shall ask for any other person who wishes to make representation.
