Vermilion Town Council Votes Unanimously to Impose Sanctions on Mayor Gregory Throndson for the Remainder of the Term
Town of Vermilion, May 6, 2024 – In response to recent events, the Town of Vermilion Council has issued an official statement regarding the Special Meeting of April 30, 2024.
Following an extensive investigation into the matter, Deputy Mayor Kevin Martin on behalf of Council brought forward sanctions that will significantly limit the roles and responsibilities of Mayor Gregory Throndson for the remainder of his elected term.
The Town of Vermilion Council voted to pass motions that will limit the roles and responsibilities of Mayor Gregory Throndson effective immediately.
These sanctions reaffirm the Town’s commitment to ensure the safety and well-being of its organization and residents. We are dedicated to upholding the values of justice, fairness, and accountability. The actions taken at the April 30 meeting are a testament to the commitment of maintaining the integrity of our community.
