Request for Proposals - Agricultural Lot Size Study
The County of Essex has issued a Request for Proposals for the preparation of an Agricultural Lot Size Study. The County committed to the completion of the study as part of the recently adopted five year review of its Official Plan. The study will determine the most appropriate lot size for various types of agricultural operations, including new lots for agricultural uses, specialty crop areas, and agriculture-related uses. The selected consultant will work with a Steering Committee comprised of both County and local municipal planners, and will be expected to engage and seek input from local farming federations and associations, the farming community, and agriculture and agriculture-related businesses and organizations.
The Request for Proposals document is available on the County of Essex website. The deadline for submissions is March 25, 2015. Further information can be obtained by contacting the Manager of Planning Services, Bill King, at 519-776-6441, extension 1329.
