Seasonal Load Limits on County Roads

Seasonal load limits on designated County Roads have taken effect and will remain in effect through April 30.

Operators are advised to observe the 5 tonne per axle load restriction signs on County Roads during this period.

Roads with seasonal load limits are listed on Schedule K of County of Essex By-Law 2021-08 as amended.

County Roads with year-round limits are listed on Schedule L of the same By-Law.

Operators can plan their routes by reviewing those lists as well as this map.

Seasonal load limits are imposed during the spring, when road damage is most likely to occur.
