Tremblay Creek Bridge Rehabilitation

The County of Essex intends to rehabilitate the Tremblay Creek Bridge on County Road 42, just east of the Hwy. 401 interchange.

Construction is anticipated to begin this spring and will last approximately 12 weeks. Work for this project will include:

  • Concrete repairs
  • Replacement of barrier wall and guiderail
  • Removal and replacement of asphalt

Unlike other rehabilitation projects, the County has the opportunity to leave one driving lane open across the bridge during construction. Temporary signals will be installed on either side of the bridge to control traffic. There are some aspects of this project that will require full, short duration closures of the road. The County will make every effort to keep these closures minimal and infrequent as possible.

We thank the residents of Essex County for their patience and understanding throughout the construction process. For any questions or comments, please contact Peter Bziuk, Manager, Design and Construction at pbziuk@countyofessex.ca .
