Windsor Endowment for the Arts will be giving out nine art grants worth $2000 each and four honourary Arts Leadership awards to individuals and organizations that are dedicated to developing the arts in Windsor and Essex County in the following categories: Community Arts, Literary Arts, Performing Arts and Visual Arts.
If you or someone you know would like to apply for an art grant or nominate an artist/organization for an Arts Leadership award, please visit their website at www.wea-arts.com to read the eligibility requirements, see a list of past recipients and to download a grant application or award nomination form.
All grant applications and award nominations will be accepted fromJanuary 25 to March 4, 2016.
The WEA Arts Leadership Awards and WEA Arts Grants recognize and encourage significant artistic and cultural contributions by individuals, organizations and arts projects in Windsor and Essex County. The awards offer recognition and honour; the grants provide financial support. Both the awards and grants are presented bi-annually.
All awards and grants will be handed out at The WEAs and the Mayor's Arts Awards Celebration on May 12, 2016 at the Chimczuk Museum on the first floor of the Art Gallery of Windsor.
