The elevator in the Essex County Civic Centre is now operational!. Please note, however, that due to renovations, the front foyer entrance (west entrance) and the north entrance (entrance facing Fairview Avenue) are closed.
Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is improving its capacity for emergency response and enhancing the safety for an important segment of the communities it serves. Beginning Wednesday, April 15, the OPP will be equipped to receive emergency calls for service via Text with 911 (T9-1-1) from people who are deaf, hard of hearing, or speech impaired (DHHSI) and for which the OPP is the Primary Public Safety Answering Point (P-PSAP).
