The public is invited to open houses in early December to see updated shoreline natural hazard mapping for the Essex-Windsor region and learn how it will be used. The updated mapping has been commissioned by the County of Essex in partnership with the Essex Region Conservation Authority.

Warden Encourages Honouring Veterans as Remembrance Day Approaches. Wear a poppy and take time to learn about the service and sacrifices of Canada’s veterans as Remembrance Day approaches, Warden Hilda MacDonald said at the start of Wednesday’s Essex County Council meeting.
Essex County Council has endorsed a three-year collective agreement with Teamsters Local 879, which represents workers with the roads division of the County’s Infrastructure Services department. The contract replaces seasonal rates with a single rate and provides for an average wage increase of 3. 38 per cent in the first year, 2. 98 per cent in the second year and 3. 01 per cent in the third year.
