A County of Essex active transportation pilot project to enhance safety on County Road 2 (Old Tecumseh Road) in Lakeshore has concluded. The bollards and concrete posts set up along the cycling and pedestrian lanes in June are being removed to prepare the road for winter maintenance.

Drivers entering Comber on County Road 46 (Middle Road) should slow down and be alert for new stop signs that are being installed at the intersection with Highway 77 (Main Street). Essex County council has approved the creation of an all-way stop on the south side of Comber after concerns about traffic were raised by residents and Lakeshore council.
